• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Specialty: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg), Ortho, Adult Med/Surg, and occasional pediatric care
• Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Shifts per Week: 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 - $1,990

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience
• Current Vermont RN license or compact/multi-state RN license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification prior to start
• Meditech experience preferred
• Ability to provide safe, effective care for adult patients and occasional pediatric patients
• Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and assessment skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to medical-surgical patients across a varied inpatient population
• Coordinate comprehensive care for adult and occasional pediatric patients in the general Med/Surg unit
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Support care needs related to medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, and swing bed services
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary clinical team to support the physical, emotional, spiritual, and developmental needs of patients
• Communicate effectively with the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor
• Maintain flexibility, professionalism, and a patient-centered approach in a busy, fast-paced hospital setting
