• Setting: Acute care hospital, Labor & Delivery unit
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Location: Fullerton, California
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 10/20/2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week / 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,480 - $2,610
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, with flexibility to meet unit needs
• Float: May float to Mother Baby
• Charting System: Meditech
• Parking: Free parking available

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Ability to perform sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision
• Experience with L&D triage required
• Epic experience required
• Current ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Strong skills in obstetric assessment, fetal monitoring, and high-risk labor care
• Ability to work weekends and support a flexible unit schedule
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care for laboring and postpartum patients
• Perform triage assessments and respond to changes in maternal and fetal condition
• Conduct sterile vaginal exams independently and accurately document findings
• Support vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk obstetric cases
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and interpret patient status throughout labor
• Administer medications and therapies commonly used in Labor & Delivery care
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe outcomes
• Float to Mother Baby when needed and maintain a high standard of patient-centered care
• Adapt quickly to unit workflow while delivering compassionate, high-quality nursing care
