• Setting: Outpatient surgical and procedural recovery area
• Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active California RN license
• Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care nursing experience
• Prior PACU, pre-op, post-op, cath lab, surgery, and/or endoscopy experience strongly preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Travel nursing experience required
• Strong cardiac pre/post care background preferred
• Ability to work variable weekday hours and adapt to a busy procedural environment
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care for patients in the pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery setting
• Monitor patients recovering from procedures in surgery, endoscopy, interventional radiology, cath lab, radiology, and infusion services
• Assess patient status, recognize changes quickly, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and supportive interventions per protocol
• Prepare patients for procedures through education, assessment, and pre-op verification
• Support recovery with pain management, discharge teaching, and post-procedure monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver efficient, patient-centered perioperative care
• Document care accurately and thoroughly in Epic
• Maintain a calm, organized approach in a high-volume outpatient surgical environment
