Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Ohio
• Minimum of 2 years of recent hemodialysis experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Associate degree in Nursing or Nursing diploma required; BSN preferred
• Ability to work scheduled call and weekend coverage as needed
• Strong clinical judgment, patient advocacy, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality dialysis nursing care using the nursing process
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Administer medications in accordance with nursing standards and organizational policies
• Coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary team and communicate changes in condition
• Support patient education and health teaching throughout the care process
• Monitor and respond to patient needs in both the dialysis unit and higher-acuity settings as assigned
• Operate in a unit that uses the Baxter AK98 dialysis machine
• Care for approximately 2-3 patients per shift in the dialysis unit and 1:1 in ICU settings when needed
• Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and compassionate, relationship-based care
