Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist or Radiologic Technologist preferred; 2 years of CT experience preferred
• ARRT registration required, with CT advanced modality registration preferred or obtainable within 2 years
• Virginia Radiology License required
• BLS through the American Heart Association required
• Experience with GE imaging equipment required
• EPIC and PACS experience preferred
• Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited program preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced diagnostic imaging setting

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures safely and effectively to support diagnosis and treatment
• Ensure image quality and verify all patient and procedural information before scanning
• Position and immobilize patients properly to obtain optimal imaging results
• Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast agents as directed by procedure requirements
• Assist radiologists with biopsies, drainage procedures, and other sterile-technique interventions
• Operate CT scanners and maintain working knowledge of CT IT systems, including PACS and Radiant
• Follow timeout procedures, safety protocols, and universal precautions
• Participate in on-call rotation as required and adapt to the needs of multiple care areas
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
