Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join a high-volume women’s health and obstetric care unit serving a diverse patient population, including neonates and adults. The ideal candidate is confident in high-risk obstetrics, fetal monitoring, triage, and circulating for procedures, with a passion for delivering safe, compassionate care in a busy clinical environment.

• Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
• Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Abington, Pennsylvania 19001
• Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Schedule: 3x12s; every 3rd weekend required
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070 - $2,180
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Charting System: Epic
• Unit Highlights: High-risk L&D, triage, OR support, postpartum procedures, and a collaborative interdisciplinary care team
• Patient Ratio: Typically 1-2

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• BSN required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner certification required
• Strong experience with high-risk obstetrics and maternal-fetal assessment
• Comfort using Epic preferred
• Ability to work in a high-volume setting with minimal floating and no call requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
• Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and recovery care
• Support triage, antepartum, and intrapartum patient assessments
• Circulate for procedures and assist with operative obstetric interventions as needed
• Perform newborn assessments and support immediate post-delivery care
• Manage IV therapy, blood products, medications, and obstetric emergencies according to protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, respiratory services, and other care team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit processes for safe, efficient patient care
