Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Nursing Job in Southlake, TX

Job Details

• Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) / Emergency Department RN
• Location: Southlake, TX 76092
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Scheduling Type: Self-scheduling
• Patient Ratio: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekends per 6-week period
• Charting System: Epic required

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Previous experience caring for 4:1 patient ratios
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Current RN licensure in the applicable state
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• Strong clinical skills in emergency care, triage, and rapid patient assessment
• Experience with a broad range of emergency diagnoses and procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency patients across all age groups, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and support stabilization of critically ill patients
• Perform and assist with advanced emergency interventions such as IV access, EKGs, splinting, chest tube management, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Care for patients with conditions including stroke, trauma, respiratory distress, cardiac concerns, poisoning, behavioral health crises, and other emergency presentations
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, timely care
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately in Epic
• Maintain a calm, professional presence in a fast-moving, high-acuity environment
