Job Requirements

• Active Maryland MD license required
• MD or DO degree
• At least 1 year of experience in Internal Medicine or a similar ambulatory clinical setting
• Prior precepting, teaching, or resident education experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work effectively with resident learners in a busy outpatient clinic
• Local or drive-in candidates preferred
• Must be able to begin credentialing quickly

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and precept Internal Medicine residents in an outpatient setting
• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions through comprehensive evaluation and assessment
• Prescribe and manage medications, therapies, and treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care plans
• Mentor, coach, and support residents in their clinical growth and development
• Complete formal and informal resident evaluations and provide constructive feedback
• Work collaboratively in a structured ambulatory care clinic with a typical patient volume of 10–14 patients per half-day session
