Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BSN required upon hire
• 2 to 4 years of experience in a supervisory role within long-term care nursing, or demonstrated leadership experience in a long-term care setting
• Working knowledge of reimbursement systems and state and federal long-term care regulations
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
• Additional unit-specific certifications may be required, such as ACLS, PALS, PEARS, or NRP

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership and shift accountability for a long-term care and skilled nursing environment
• Coordinate and facilitate nursing care activities to support continuity of care across the resident care continuum
• Assist with developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Support staff competency through education, coaching, hiring, training, evaluation, and delegation
• Serve as a resident advocate and a resource for families and interdisciplinary team members
• Monitor, evaluate, and report quality data including falls, skin issues, psychotropic medications, and chart compliance
• Oversee assessment, care planning, case management, and restorative care programs
• Promote infection control practices and support a safe, respectful care environment
• Contribute to budget planning and track monthly department expenses
