• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend; no call; float to pediatrics, PICU, and nursery as needed
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 60 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,340 - $2,460

Job Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP certifications
• At least 1 year of NICU experience required
• Experience with Level III or higher NICU care preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Strong charting system experience required
• Comfort working with neonates and infants, including complex and surgical cases
• Ability to work night shifts and support weekend coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for neonates and infants in a Level III NICU
• Care for patients with surgical needs, respiratory support requirements, and cooling protocols
• Support advanced neonatal interventions including PICC care, line insertions, and airway/respiratory management
• Monitor and manage complex newborn conditions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Assist with procedures and diagnostics such as bronchoscopy, LISA, VCUG, MRI, and swallow studies
• Work closely with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
• Float to pediatrics, PICU, and nursery when needed to support patient care needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a safe, family-centered care environment
