Job Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of 3 years of Registered Nurse experience, including recent specialty experience within the last 12 months
• Pediatric nursing experience required
• Experience in surgical services, pre-op nursing, and Phase II recovery in an ambulatory setting
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Epic experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a busy outpatient surgical environment
• Must be comfortable with compliance requirements, including pre-employment labs and fit testing
• Availability for an interview within 3-5 days preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care for ambulatory surgery patients from pre-operative preparation through recovery
• Complete pre-op assessments, review histories and physicals, and prepare patients for procedures
• Support Phase II recovery, monitor patient status, and assist with safe discharge readiness
• Perform medication reconciliation, pain assessment, and patient education
• Maintain IV access and support procedural preparation and follow-up needs
• Assist with discharge instructions, follow-up calls, and patient communication
• Coordinate care efficiently in a high-volume outpatient surgical setting with a focus on safety and quality
• Float within the assigned network of nearby facilities as needed based on staffing demands
