Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at submission
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including recent specialty experience within the last 12 months
• At least 1 year of ambulatory nursing or surgical services experience required
• Pediatric nursing experience required
• Experience with pre-op nursing, Phase II recovery, and ambulatory surgical workflows
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Epic EHR experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment and adapt to changing patient volumes
• Must be available for a 3-5 day interview window
• Must submit requested time off with the profile; no time off after submission will be accepted for the first week of the assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in an ambulatory surgery and outpatient recovery setting
• Perform pre-operative assessments, review histories and physicals, and prepare patients for procedures
• Support Phase II recovery, discharge teaching, and follow-up instructions
• Start and maintain IVs, obtain operative/procedural consent, and assist with medication reconciliation
• Monitor pain, review lab values, and reinforce isolation precautions and patient safety practices
• Obtain 12-lead EKGs/ECGs and assist with procedural preparation as needed
• Support pediatric and adult patients across a broad age range in a busy day-surgery environment
• Float among designated facilities when needed to support staffing and patient care coverage
