Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of PACU nursing, Pre-Op nursing, or critical care nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• PALS certification required
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to support patients recovering from general anesthesia
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care in both Pre-Op and PACU
• Monitor patients in phase I and phase II recovery
• Assess vital signs, airway status, pain, and readiness for discharge
• Support patients receiving general anesthesia from procedural areas across the hospital
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Promote a calm, reassuring experience for patients and families
