Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg in Albuquerque, New Mexico

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 48-hour option available
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Setting: Medical-Surgical unit / acute care hospital
• Charting System: Epic
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Float: Required within scope
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Active Registered Nurse license or eligibility for an NM or Compact RN license prior to start
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends
• Comfort floating to like units within scope as needed
• Strong clinical skills in Med/Surg nursing; telemetry experience preferred
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other ordered treatments
• Support telemetry monitoring, wound care, oxygen therapy, and respiratory interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and assist with rapid response or code team support when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all unit safety and quality standards
• Float within scope to support patient care needs across like units
