Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of Med Surg or Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Cerner EHR/EMR required
• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Current Colorado RN license or Compact RN license
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Strong computer skills and electronic health record proficiency
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled bedside nursing care within RN scope of practice and physician/provider orders
• Perform comprehensive assessments, care planning, interventions, and reassessments for adult medical-surgical patients
• Monitor patient condition, identify changes in status, and communicate concerns promptly to the care team
• Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, blood products, and other treatments safely and accurately
• Document nursing care thoroughly in Cerner and use Care Compass to organize care tasks and patient education
• Deliver age-specific inpatient nursing care with strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, pain management, wound care, and discharge planning
• Transfer care using SBAR and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care
• Maintain infection prevention practices, patient confidentiality, and high standards of safety and professionalism
• Support teammates, demonstrate adaptability, and contribute to a positive patient care environment
