Job Details

• Position: Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist
• Specialty: General Anesthesiology with broad subspecialty exposure
• Location: Duluth, Minnesota
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,900 - $3,380
• Shift Length: Flexible 8-10 hour shifts
• Schedule: Days with call options; full-week coverage available 1-2 times per month or 40+ hours per week
• Openings: 2
• Setting: Hospital-based anesthesia practice with optional ambulatory surgery center coverage

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of anesthesiology experience required
• Board certification required
• Experience with cardiac anesthesia cases, including CABG, strongly preferred
• Fellowship training preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Ability to provide anesthesia care across a wide range of procedures, including general, pediatric, neonatal, obstetric, neuro, thoracic, vascular, regional, and trauma cases
• Comfort with CRNA supervision and team-based anesthesia care

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia services for a diverse surgical population in a hospital setting
• Manage complex cases, including cardiac, orthopedic, neuro, obstetric, pediatric, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Perform and oversee general, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia techniques
• Support pain management procedures and post-operative regional anesthesia care
• Place and manage central lines, arterial lines, and PA catheters as needed
• Supervise CRNAs and collaborate closely with the anesthesia care team
• Deliver high-quality perioperative care in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
