• Position: Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (Med/Surg Tele RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Setting: 27-bed General Medicine / Telemetry Unit
• Location: Charlottesville, VA 22908
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Shift: Night shift, 4x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week, with the option to work 48 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending Virginia RN license accepted if in hand before the Wednesday prior to the start date
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to float within scope of practice as needed
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced med/surg telemetry environment
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias for adult medical-surgical patients
• Administer and manage IV insulin and heparin protocols according to unit standards
• Support patients requiring chest tubes, tracheostomy care, wound vacs, PCA pumps, and related interventions
• Care for patients with respiratory, endocrine, cardiac, immune/infectious disease, and renal conditions
• Deliver safe, compassionate care for diagnoses including sepsis, cellulitis, heart failure, sickle cell, cystic fibrosis, and infections
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit-specific workflows
• Participate in weekend, holiday, and shift scheduling as outlined for the assignment
