Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; Virginia license pending may be accepted if in hand before start
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele or acute care nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred
• Ability to care for adults and geriatric patients with complex medical diagnoses
• Must be comfortable floating within scope of practice
• Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for patients with respiratory illness, renal disease, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell disease, and cystic fibrosis
• Monitor telemetry patients and respond appropriately to rhythm changes and clinical needs
• Administer and manage nurse-driven heparin infusions and insulin drips
• Support care for patients requiring tracheostomy management, wound care, chest tubes, PCA pumps, bladder scanning, and CAPD
• Collaborate with IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Follow unit protocols, safety standards, and float expectations while delivering compassionate patient care
• Participate in orientation and required modules to ensure success in the travel nursing assignment
