• Charting System: Epic experience required
• Pre-Approved Time Off: Up to 40 hours per 13-week contract

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in a PICU or similarly high-acuity pediatric setting
• Active RN license; pending state license accepted if in hand before the Wednesday prior to start
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong experience caring for pediatric cardiac and medical critical care patients preferred
• Experience with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, arterial lines, chest tubes, central lines, and vasoactive drips preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts and participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• BSN preferred
• References required with submission

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in a busy Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
• Monitor and manage complex pediatric cardiac and medical cases, including post-operative and high-acuity patients
• Provide bedside care for patients requiring advanced therapies such as ventilator support, CRRT, ECMO, and VAD management
• Perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Float to NICU or Acute Care Pediatrics as needed within scope of practice
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit protocols and patient safety standards
• Support a team-based environment focused on compassionate care, clinical excellence, and family-centered service
