• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)

• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,100
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: Rotating days and nights; 36 or 48 hours per week based on unit needs
• Weekend/Holiday Expectations: 3 weekends per 6-week schedule; must work 2 of 3 winter holidays
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Float Requirements: May float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics as needed
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, children, and adolescents

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending Virginia licensure may be accepted if in hand before the required deadline
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatric critical care or a pediatric ICU setting
• BLS and PALS certification required
• Epic experience required
• BSN preferred
• Pediatric cardiac experience is a plus
• Ability to work rotating shifts and maintain flexibility in a high-acuity healthcare environment
• Strong skills in PICU nursing, ventilator management, arterial line care, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency response

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and specialized pediatric critical care to critically ill children and cardiac patients
• Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
• Support advanced therapies and equipment such as ECMO, VADs, and CRRT
• Perform and assist with complex procedures including line management, airway care, sedation monitoring, and chest tube management
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support the best possible outcomes for patients and families
• Document care accurately in Epic and follow unit protocols and clinical standards
• Float within scope to support NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics when needed
• Contribute to a high-performing pediatric nursing team focused on safety, teamwork, and excellence in critical care
