• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Schedule: Straight nights or rotating schedule with every other weekend
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000 - $2,100
• Openings: 2
• Charting System: Epic experience required
• Floating: May float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs
• Weekend Requirement: Three weekends per six-week schedule
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays

PICU Registered Nurse Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU or comparable pediatric critical care experience
• Active Registered Nurse license; pending Virginia license accepted if in hand before start date
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Epic experience required
• Strong clinical background caring for high-acuity pediatric patients
• Experience with pediatric cardiac care is a plus
• BSN preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting and adapt to changing patient needs
• Willingness to float within scope of practice

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in a PICU setting
• Monitor and manage complex cardiac and medical critical care patients
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and support treatment plans for high-acuity patients
• Care for patients requiring advanced therapies such as ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and specialized critical care interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and support unit workflow and patient safety standards
• Float to NICU or Acute Care Pediatrics as needed and within scope of practice
• Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on quality, communication, and excellent family-centered care
