• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980 - $2,080
• Schedule: Various night shifts; weekend coverage and call may be required
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Charting System: Epic
• Unit Size: 32 beds

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Colorado or a compact state license
• Minimum 1 year of specialty experience in Mother/Baby, Postpartum, or Couplet Care
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience caring for antepartum patients and newborns who do not require NICU-level care
• Strong skills in postpartum assessment, newborn assessment, and family education
• Ability to float within scope to Antepartum and Labor & Delivery with fetal monitoring experience
• Epic experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to postpartum patients and couplets
• Monitor maternal recovery, including fundal checks, lochia assessment, incision care, and pain management
• Support newborn care such as feeding assistance, thermoregulation, phototherapy, glucose monitoring, and newborn assessments
• Administer and monitor therapies such as magnesium, insulin, heparin, Pitocin, and IV pumps as ordered
• Educate parents on breastfeeding, newborn care, discharge instructions, and safety practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote excellent outcomes for mother and baby
• Float within scope as needed to support Antepartum or Labor & Delivery patients with fetal monitoring experience
