Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Colorado or a compact state
• AHA BLS certification required
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
• 2 years of acute care Bone Marrow Transplant or Hematology/Oncology experience required
• Experience administering chemotherapy and working with cellular therapies
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Comfort working rotating day/night shifts
• Ability to float between closely related BMT and Oncology units as needed
• Strong adaptability for a unit with flexible staffing ratios

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adults with blood cancers undergoing chemotherapy, biotherapies, stem cell transplant, and CAR-T treatment
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy, blood products, and complex infusions safely
• Perform central line care, blood draws, and management of implanted access devices
• Monitor for and respond to complications such as neutropenia, sepsis, hemorrhage, graft-versus-host disease, and tumor lysis syndrome
• Educate and support patients and families throughout treatment and recovery
• Document accurately in Epic and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain safe handling and disposal of cytotoxic materials and follow infection control protocols
• Float within scope between BMT and Oncology-related units to meet facility needs
