Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800-$1,890
• Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele)

• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, with the possibility of 48-hour weeks based on unit needs
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Charting System: Epic experience required

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; pending state license accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before start date
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry or comparable acute care nursing experience
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Ability to provide required references and comply with travel assignment onboarding requirements
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to a diverse medical-surgical telemetry patient population
• Monitor telemetry, assess cardiac rhythms, and interpret dysrhythmias as part of ongoing patient care
• Manage common medical-surgical conditions including respiratory, cardiac, renal, endocrine, infectious disease, and sepsis-related needs
• Administer and titrate medications and therapies such as insulin drips and heparin infusions per protocol
• Support patients requiring wound care, tracheostomy management, chest tube care, and PCA pump use
• Collaborate with IV teams, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Float within scope of practice as needed and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Promote a positive patient experience through attentive, compassionate, and team-oriented nursing care
