• Weekend Requirement: Three weekends per six-week schedule
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
• Float Requirement: May float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000 - $2,100

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent PICU, pediatric ICU, or pediatric critical care RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending state license may be accepted if in hand by the required deadline
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with pediatric cardiac and medically complex patients preferred
• BSN preferred
• Strong critical care skills and comfort working in a fast-paced pediatric hospital environment
• Ability to provide required documentation, references, and compliance items prior to start

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in a busy Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
• Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiac, respiratory, and medical critical care needs
• Perform advanced bedside nursing care including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, IV therapy, and medication administration
• Support patients requiring specialized critical care interventions such as arterial lines, chest tubes, CRRT, EVDs, and other PICU therapies
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rehabilitation services, and other interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Safely float within scope of practice to NICU or Acute Care Pediatrics when needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic and uphold unit standards for quality, safety, and patient outcomes
• Deliver compassionate, family-centered care in a high-acuity pediatric healthcare setting
