• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Every other weekend with rotating holidays
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,700 - $2,840

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts
• Recent OB, maternity, or Labor & Delivery nursing experience within the past 2 years required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Completion of a fetal monitoring course every 2 years (Intermediate or Advanced)
• Successful passage of pharmacology exam required
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• BSN preferred
• CPI certification preferred
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor maternal and fetal patients and administer medications in accordance with clinical best practices
• Document assessments, care plans, and discharge planning accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, OB providers, allied health professionals, and support staff to coordinate quality patient care
• Provide leadership and guidance to ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards
• Serve as a charge nurse when assigned and support smooth Labor & Delivery unit operations
• Maintain a strong commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and service excellence
• Use computerized nursing systems effectively and support staff orientation and education as needed
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and ongoing professional development
