Job Details

• Location: Chicago, IL 60611
• Setting: Hospital MRI department
• Employment Type: Travel MRI Technologist assignment
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, including every other Saturday/Sunday
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,080–$2,230
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of direct MRI technologist experience
• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or accredited MRI program with diploma/certificate of completion
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, or certification eligibility
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Illinois radiology licensure in hand and all applicable compliance requirements met
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Siemens MRI experience required
• Community hospital experience required

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans in a busy hospital environment with a focus on accuracy, safety, and patient comfort
• Support a wide range of MRI studies, including brain, abdomen, chest, spine, extremity, angiography, and post-processing workflows
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including contrast media administration and IV support as appropriate
• Maintain strong communication with radiology, IV, pharmacy, transportation, and interpretation support teams
• Follow infection prevention, PPE, and patient safety protocols while delivering compassionate care
• Adapt to night-shift workflow and every-other-weekend scheduling needs
