Job Requirements

• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• At least 2 years of telemetry and med-surg nursing experience required
• U.S. Med/Tele experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret rhythm strips required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Must pass pre-start EKG testing and onsite EKG competency
• Relias EKG exam required prior to start
• Strong clinical references required
• Experience with Allscripts preferred
• Experience with chemotherapy, ventilator patients, and orthopedic surgical cases preferred
• Must be comfortable working in a smoke/nicotine-free environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients with respiratory and oncology needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients receiving chemotherapy, chronic ventilator support, and general med-surg treatment
• Manage telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response support as needed
• Perform and support IV therapy, blood product administration, and central/PICC line care
• Assist with respiratory interventions such as HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and oxygen delivery
• Support safe medication administration, including heparin protocols and non-titrated cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols, safety standards, and competency expectations
• Work assigned night shifts and every other weekend to support consistent unit coverage
