You will play a critical role in decontamination, instrument assembly, sterilization, and sterile supply support while collaborating with a clinical team focused on quality care and efficient OR workflows.

Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Sterile Processing Technician
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,080-$1,160
• Shift Duration: 8-hour evenings
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with occasional scheduled holidays
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Setting: Busy hospital sterile processing department with multiple service lines and high-acuity surgical demands
• Location: Columbus, OH 43210

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of sterile processing experience in a high-volume hospital environment
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required
• Experience with decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and sterile storage workflows
• Hands-on knowledge of steam sterilization and low-temperature sterilization processes
• High-level disinfection and endoscope reprocessing experience required
• Experience with Censitrac tracking systems preferred
• Medivator experience required
• Experience supporting an OR liaison function or core tech role preferred
• Familiarity with Epic charting is preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate a wide variety of surgical instruments and equipment, including drills, scopes, and robotic system components
• Assemble and prepare instruments across multiple service lines, including trauma, loaner sets, and peel-packed items
• Perform sterilization using steam and Sterrad processes while following strict quality and safety standards
• Complete high-level disinfection and scope reprocessing procedures accurately and efficiently
• Maintain sterile storage and ensure instruments are packaged and delivered aseptically to point of use
• Support operating room coordination and instrument tracking across multiple reprocessing sites
• Use Censitrac and related systems to document, track, and allocate instrumentation
• Help standardize and organize instrument trays to support consistent workflows across the system
• Collaborate with team members to keep pace in a busy, high-demand hospital environment
