• Hours Per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour days
• Schedule: Day/evening rotating schedule with weekend and call coverage as needed
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Setting: Operating Room / Surgical Services

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room Tech or Surgical Technologist experience required
• BLS certification required
• Circulate and scrub experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Strong experience in multiple surgical services preferred, including ENT, neuro, thoracic, and robotics
• Ability to work a rotating schedule with call and weekend coverage as needed
• Experience in complex procedures such as microvascular flap cases, endoscopic procedures, craniotomy/EEA/skull base, and thoracic cases is highly valued
• Must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting a high-volume surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with circulating and scrubbing across a variety of surgical specialties
• Support complex procedures in ENT, neuro, thoracic, robotics, plastics, urology, gynecology, colorectal, orthopedics, and more
• Maintain accurate documentation and workflow in EPIC
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and the perioperative team to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments for procedures
• Help maintain a smooth surgical schedule while adapting to changing case needs
• Provide high-quality support in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical setting
