• End Date: 2/6/2027
• Contract Length: 18 weeks
• Shift: Monday-Friday coverage, with scheduling aligned to unit needs
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• On-Call: 6 days per month, including 1 weekend per month
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,240-$1,330
• Location: Claremore, OK 74017
• Additional Details: Support for inpatient operating rooms, outpatient operating rooms, and outpatient endoscopy rooms; royal blue scrubs
• Opportunity: Potential for conversion to a full-time sterile processing role for the right candidate

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of sterile processing experience required; strong seasoned experience preferred
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician credential required (CBSPD or CRCST/HSPA)
• Certification must be current and held for a minimum of 1 year
• AHA BLS required and must not be within 30 days of expiration
• Experience with decontamination, instrument assembly, and sterilization workflows in a healthcare or hospital setting
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot equipment concerns, and follow sterile processing department processes without prompting
• Experience with Steris equipment required; familiarity with Arthrex, Olympus, and similar instrumentation is a plus
• Preferred certifications include CER (HSPA), CIS (HSPA), or CSIS (CBSPD)
• Experience with pediatric patients, endoscope reprocessing, dental tray assembly, and general OR instrumentation is highly desired
• All requested time off must be listed at the time of submission

Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, wrap, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment for procedures
• Manually clean contaminated items and complete decontamination tasks using manual and mechanical methods
• Inspect instruments carefully, assemble trays accurately, and maintain proper tracking and documentation
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot sterilization equipment, including Steris systems, and coordinate repair support when needed
• Support daily coverage for inpatient ORs, outpatient ORs, and endoscopy rooms with dependable, high-quality sterile processing service
• Maintain inventory, check expiration dates, and ensure supplies are ready for clinical use
• Follow infection prevention standards and uphold a safe, efficient sterile processing environment
• Assist with steam and low-temperature sterilization, flexible endoscope processing, and other core SPD functions
