Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg or neuro nursing experience required
• Ability to prioritize care and manage a busy patient assignment in a hospital setting
• Strong multitasking, teamwork, and clinical communication skills
• Comfort with bedside shift report and family-centered communication
• Experience starting IVs and providing basic wound care
• Ability to manage surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to neuro med/surg patients
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status promptly
• Administer nursing interventions and support individualized care plans
• Perform IV starts, wound care, and routine bedside nursing tasks
• Maintain and assess surgical drains, NG tubes, and chest tubes as needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver coordinated patient care
• Complete bedside shift reports and communicate effectively with patients and families
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Float as needed according to contract scheduling guidelines
