Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of professional Registered Nursing experience
• Experience with vascular access, PICC services, or interventional radiology nursing preferred
• Ability to provide safe, precise, and compassionate patient care in a procedure-focused environment
• Current applicable certifications with valid expiration dates
• Certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross when applicable
• Ability to complete required compliance documentation, health screening, and onboarding activities before the assignment start date
• Two professional references obtained within the past year

Interventional Radiology and Vascular Access RN Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care for patients receiving vascular access services and PICC-related procedures
• Assess patients before, during, and after procedures, monitoring for changes in condition and potential complications
• Support the placement, maintenance, troubleshooting, and removal of vascular access devices within scope of practice
• Follow established standards for sterile technique, infection prevention, patient identification, and procedural safety
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, line care, follow-up needs, and warning signs to report
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate efficient, high-quality patient care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, device-related care, and patient responses in the medical record
• Adapt to variable day-shift coverage based on the needs of the vascular access department
