Travel Occupational Therapy Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920–$2,060
• Location: Marion, Indiana, with coverage across Wabash, Huntington, Grant, Blackford, Madison, and Delaware counties
• Healthcare Setting: Home Health
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Eastern Time
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Hours: 40 hours per week; 36 hours guaranteed
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with the potential to extend
• Weekend and On-Call Requirements: None
• Productivity Expectation: 30 points per week
• Travel Requirement: Mileage between patient visits is reimbursed

Home Health Occupational Therapist Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Indiana or the applicable state of practice
• Current CPR certification
• At least 1 year of recent home health occupational therapy experience
• Proficiency with Home Care Home Base, PointCare, and OASIS assessments
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or reliable public transportation
• Ability to provide respectful, inclusive patient care to individuals of all ages and backgrounds
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and healthcare documentation skills

Travel Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, mobility, and occupational therapy needs in the home setting
• Complete comprehensive home health assessments, including OASIS evaluations, recertifications, and discharges
• Conduct home safety assessments and recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
• Develop and provide skilled occupational therapy services within the scope of practice and in accordance with each patient’s plan of care
• Use evidence-based occupational therapy techniques to promote independence, safety, and improved functional outcomes
• Apply diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests to establish treatment goals and monitor patient progress
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and changes in condition accurately and promptly
• Communicate patient progress and clinical concerns to the appropriate supervisor and physician
