Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Hospice Care in Tucson, AZ

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Start Date: September 28, 2026
• Duration: Approximately 14 weeks, through January 1, 2027
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120–$2,230
• Travel: Field-based patient visits with mileage reimbursement between visits

Home Hospice Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional Registered Nurse (RN) experience
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate degree in Nursing or higher
• Current CPR certification
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned Tucson-area service region and provide skilled nursing care in patients’ homes
• Hospice or home health nursing experience preferred

Home Hospice RN Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 18–22 hospice patients
• Complete routine, as-needed, admission, and end-of-life visits in the home setting
• Assess patient needs and develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care
• Provide skilled home hospice nursing care focused on comfort, symptom management, safety, and quality of life
• Monitor changes in patient condition and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary hospice care team
• Educate patients and families regarding disease progression, medications, treatments, and available support
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care coordination activities
• Support patients and families with compassion and professionalism during end-of-life care
