Home Health Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120–$2,230
• Location: Elizabethtown, KY
• Healthcare Setting: Home Health
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Eastern Time
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call Requirement: Approximately 7–10 days per month, including one weekend per month
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Assignment Dates: September 24, 2026 through December 23, 2026
• Position Type: Travel nursing contract
• Dress Code: Scrubs or polo-style shirts with dress slacks; clean, closed-toe shoes are required

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
• At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
• Associate degree in nursing or another qualifying educational pathway
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Home health nursing experience and proficiency with OASIS documentation, Start of Care, and other OASIS visits preferred
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to identify safety concerns, recognize changes in patient condition, and appropriately escalate care
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between patient visits

Home Health RN Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes in accordance with individualized plans of care
• Complete Start of Care assessments and other OASIS-related visits accurately and thoroughly
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor for changes in condition, safety risks, and care needs
• Deliver timely, high-quality clinical documentation and maintain accurate patient records
• Communicate effectively with providers and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status, concerns, and recommended interventions
• Escalate changes in condition appropriately and follow through on provider notifications and care coordination
• Educate patients and caregivers on medications, disease management, safety, and strategies that support independence
• Participate in the rotating on-call schedule, including weekday and weekend coverage
• Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, teamwork, and outstanding customer service during every patient interaction
