ICU Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Yakima, Washington

ICU travel nurse opportunity in Yakima, WA for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with critical care and telemetry expertise. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Yakima, Washington
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200–$2,320
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shift Times: 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.; day-shift coverage may also be available
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Call: No on-call requirement
• Clinical Setting: ACU/CCU and ICU-level care in a 226-bed community hospital with an 11-bed ICU
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic
• Floating: ICU-level units or lower-acuity units throughout the hospital, as needed

ICU Travel Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Washington
• At least 2 years of recent ICU, ACU, or CCU nursing experience
• At least one completed travel nursing assignment; first-time travelers are not eligible for this opportunity
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Strong patient assessment, critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills
• Ability to float between ICU-level and lower-acuity units when needed

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive critical care nursing to critically ill and telemetry patients
• Care for patients with congestive heart failure, respiratory distress, acute coronary syndrome, atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response, diabetes, CVA overflow, and post-cardiac catheterization needs
• Monitor and manage patients receiving BiPAP, blood products, and cardiac or vasoactive infusions, including diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitroglycerin, and heparin
• Perform focused nursing assessments and continuous monitoring for patients with chest tubes, wound vacs, arterial lines, and femoral arterial sheaths
• Provide post-procedure care for patients with radial compression bands and femoral-access procedures
• Deliver care for medical, vascular, abdominal, gastrointestinal, and other surgical patients
• Complete dressing changes and wound care according to clinical standards
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in Epic
