Pediatric Surgical Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of Operating Room experience
• Previous experience in a pediatric Operating Room or pediatric surgical setting
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• Current Washington state license or applicable authorization to practice
• Demonstrated expertise scrubbing at least two pediatric surgical service lines, such as ENT or orthopedics
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and Operating Room procedures
• Ability to work effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia professionals, and other members of the perioperative team

Pediatric Operating Room Responsibilities

• Scrub pediatric surgical procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique
• Prepare, organize, and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout each procedure
• Support procedures across multiple pediatric specialties, including ENT and orthopedics
• Perform accurate counts of instruments, sharps, and supplies according to established protocols
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to promote safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care
• Maintain Operating Room readiness between cases and help ensure appropriate equipment availability
