Interventional Radiology / Vascular Access Registered Nurse – Travel Contract in Modesto, California

Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,560–$2,700
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Location: Modesto, California
• Start Date: October 27, 2026
• End Date: January 26, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Times: Variable scheduling based on department needs, including 6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m., 5:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and/or 11:00 a.m.–11:30 p.m.
• Healthcare Setting: On-site Vascular Access/PICC Service
• Orientation: 16 hours

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of professional Registered Nurse experience
• Experience in IV therapy, vascular access, PICC services, interventional radiology, or a closely related nursing specialty strongly preferred
• Ability to work variable 12-hour day shifts and adapt to changing department needs
• Current, applicable certifications with valid expiration dates; certifications must be issued by AHA or ARC when required
• Ability to provide two professional references obtained within the past year
• Ability to complete required compliance documentation, laboratory work, and onboarding activities before the travel nursing assignment begins

Vascular Access RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for patients requiring vascular access and IV therapy services
• Support PICC placement and other vascular access procedures within the scope of practice and facility protocols
• Assess patients before, during, and after vascular access procedures and identify potential complications
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate patient updates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Prioritize assignments effectively while responding to the department’s daily staffing and procedural needs
• Promote infection prevention, patient safety, and a positive care experience throughout each patient encounter
