Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• Current Physical Therapist license eligible for practice in California
• At least 1 year of professional Physical Therapy experience
• Acute rehabilitation or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
• Applicants with skilled nursing facility or acute inpatient experience will be considered
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and physical therapy documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation care team
• Ability to meet the schedule and physical demands of an on-site hospital rehabilitation role

Acute Rehabilitation Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical response
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, safety, and discharge recommendations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
• Complete timely and accurate physical therapy documentation in the Meditech system
• Support safe transitions of care and help patients achieve functional goals for discharge
