Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Cleveland, Ohio

Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) needed in Cleveland, Ohio for a 13-week contract. Care for complex adult and transplant patients while monitoring cardiac rhythms and collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. This on-site travel nursing opportunity is ideal for an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN who is comfortable working rotating day and night shifts. Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370
• Assignment Dates: October 23, 2026–January 22, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Options: Days, approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; nights, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Nursing Setting: On-site Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Scheduling Note: Shift assignments may rotate as needed to support operational requirements. Holiday coverage is required at least every other holiday.

Travel Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 1 year of combined permanent Registered Nurse experience in Med/Surg Tele, telemetry nursing, or a closely related specialty
• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Active ACLS and NIHSS certifications
• Recent specialty reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director
• Strong cardiac rhythm recognition, telemetry monitoring, and medication-safety knowledge
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation; up to two attempts are permitted
• Ability to float to comparable units, including specialty medical-surgical areas and emergency care areas, when needed for patients with a similar population
• Willingness to complete required pre-start and annual education modules and competency requirements

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg Telemetry and special care transplant patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient conditions, and promptly communicate changes in status
• Administer medications safely and accurately while following established clinical protocols
• Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, procedures, and discharge needs
• Document patient care clearly and accurately in the electronic medical record
• Float to designated units as needed while maintaining safe, high-quality care for the assigned patient population
