Emergency Department RN Job Details

• Location: West Chester, Pennsylvania
• Department: Emergency Department
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,100
• Start Date: October 29, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Shifts per Week: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours total
• Weekend Requirement: One out of every three weekends
• Additional Opportunities: Candidates willing to pick up additional weekend shifts are highly desirable. A potential temp-to-hire transition may be available.

Emergency Room Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Emergency Department or emergency room nursing experience
• Trauma nursing experience preferred, but not required
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Strong emergency assessment, prioritization, triage, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative emergency care environment

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a broad range of emergent and urgent conditions
• Perform rapid nursing assessments, identify changes in patient status, and prioritize care based on acuity
• Administer medications and treatments safely and efficiently
• Monitor patient responses and communicate critical findings to the emergency care team
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary professionals to support timely evaluation and treatment
• Assist with emergency procedures and trauma-related care as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support safe transitions of care
• Promote patient and family education, comfort, dignity, and safety throughout the emergency visit
