Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Boston, Massachusetts
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
• Start Date: January 4, 2027
• End Date: February 27, 2027
• Contract Duration: 8-week travel nursing contract
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts, days and nights
• Healthcare Setting: Medical ICU and critical care float pool
• Float Requirement: Floating to designated critical care areas is required
• Orientation: Weekly orientation, generally on Mondays

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent related ICU or Medical ICU nursing experience
• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts
• Willingness and flexibility to float within critical care areas
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Critical Care Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a Medical ICU environment
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, monitor clinical status, and promptly identify changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical standards
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Respond effectively to urgent and emergent patient needs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide thorough shift-to-shift handoffs
• Float to assigned critical care areas and adapt quickly to changing patient populations and workflows
• Support a culture of patient safety, professionalism, and compassionate patient care
