• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470-$2,600

• Duration: 8 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour rotating day and night shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week; 72 guaranteed hours every two weeks
• Healthcare Setting: Nursing float pool supporting multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Strong telemetry assessment and cardiac monitoring skills
• Epic electronic medical record experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts in a nursing float pool environment
• Adaptability and confidence caring for adult patients across multiple clinical units

Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established clinical standards
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing colleagues, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Document patient care accurately in Epic
• Adapt efficiently to changing assignments and support multiple units as part of the nursing float pool
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and continuity of care throughout each assignment
