Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery Travel Contract | Camden, NJ

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
• Assignment Type: 13-week Labor & Delivery travel contract
• Location: Camden, New Jersey
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• End Date: January 25, 2027
• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: One winter holiday and one summer holiday during the assignment
• Scheduling: Block scheduling is not available
• Time-Off Requests: Must be submitted with the initial profile; requests submitted afterward may not be accepted. Time off is not available during the first week.
• Floating: May be required to support Labor & Delivery and High-Risk Obstetric services across five area hospitals based on staffing needs
• Orientation: 12 hours

Labor & Delivery Travel RN Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse experience, including experience within the last 12 months
• Active New Jersey or compact Registered Nurse license in hand at the time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications in hand at submission
• Recent Epic electronic health record charting experience
• Experience caring for patient assignments with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Ability to circulate and scrub for cesarean sections
• Ability to float to High-Risk Obstetric services and other designated area locations as needed
• Successful completion of the required dysrhythmia assessment within 72 hours of signing; two attempts are permitted
• Strong knowledge of fetal monitoring, labor management, high-risk antepartum care, postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin infusions, and obstetric emergencies

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery, including triage, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring, non-stress tests, and intrauterine pressure catheter technology
• Recognize and respond promptly to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, pregnancy-induced hypertension, hemorrhage, shock, and other obstetric emergencies
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, high-risk deliveries, forceps or vacuum-assisted deliveries, and cesarean sections
• Circulate and scrub for C-sections while maintaining sterile technique and patient safety
• Administer and monitor medications and infusions, including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, insulin, terbutaline, antihypertensives, anticoagulants, and antiseizure therapies
• Perform assessments and interventions including sterile vaginal exams, amnioinfusion support, epidural monitoring, IV management, cord sampling, and newborn identification procedures
• Support couplet care, postpartum recovery, fundus and lochia assessments, perineal care, pain management, and patient education
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Adapt to changing census and staffing needs while floating within the designated regional hospital network
