Travel Occupational Therapy Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850–$1,990
• Location: Valencia, California
• Healthcare Setting: 19-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 4, 2027
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, primarily Monday through Friday, with 1–2 weekend days as scheduled
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts, approximately 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Hours: Approximately 32–40 hours per week
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Additional Information: On-site occupational therapy role; no floating to other units

Occupational Therapist Job Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure in California
• At least 1 year of professional occupational therapy experience
• Acute rehabilitation or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred; candidates with SNF, outpatient, or acute care experience are encouraged to apply
• Ability to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and provide skilled occupational therapy interventions
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, organization, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to work scheduled weekdays and occasional weekend days

Travel Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions focused on activities of daily living, mobility, coordination, cognition, and safe participation in meaningful activities
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, safety strategies, and continued progress toward independence
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other members of the rehabilitation team
• Document evaluations, treatments, progress, and discharge recommendations accurately in Meditech
• Contribute to a supportive, patient-centered acute rehabilitation environment
