Travel Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Rehab Contract in South Miami, Florida

Join a collaborative inpatient rehabilitation team as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in South Miami, Florida. Help adult and geriatric patients regain strength, mobility, independence, and confidence after illness or injury during this 12-week nursing contract. Care for patients recovering from neurological conditions, stroke, spinal cord injuries, amputations, orthopedic injuries, and other complex conditions in a specialized rehabilitation setting. Travel RN Job Details

• Location: South Miami, Florida
• Nursing Specialty: Inpatient Rehabilitation
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570–$1,650
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour shifts; day or night assignments, including approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Weekend Schedule: Monday–Friday schedule with every-other-weekend rotation
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric rehabilitation patients
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 6–7 patients per RN/LPN
• Call: Not required

Rehabilitation Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BSN or higher required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 2 years of registered nursing experience; new graduates are not eligible
• Recent inpatient rehabilitation and medical-surgical nursing experience required
• Previous Cerner electronic health record experience required
• Experience with step-down care, wound care, respiratory treatments, BiPAP, or CPAP preferred
• Adaptable, flexible, and team-oriented approach to patient care

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Support patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, neurological conditions, cancer, amputations, and orthopedic injuries.
• Perform nursing assessments, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient progress, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary care team.
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, strengthening, endurance, fall prevention, and activities that promote a safe return to home and community living.
• Provide wound care and respiratory support, including care involving BiPAP and CPAP when indicated.
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner and follow established clinical and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation professionals, nursing assistants, providers, patients, and families to promote individualized recovery goals.
