CT Technologist Travel Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490–$2,670
• Location: Madison, Wisconsin
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital imaging; Level I trauma center
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Contract End Date: January 18, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call: None
• Weekend Coverage: Potential weekend shifts based on operational needs
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• CT Technology: GE CT, Canon Insight, and Ulrich injector systems
• Additional Expectations: Travelers may be required to float as needed; local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of clinical CT imaging experience
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Current Wisconsin Radiographer license
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic and PACS
• Competency with contrast administration, peripheral IV starts, venipuncture, radiation safety, and image reconstruction
• Ability to work with adult and pediatric patients in acute care, outpatient, emergency, ICU, trauma, and isolation settings
• Trauma imaging experience is preferred
• Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment competency testing

CT Imaging Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced CT imaging procedures using radiographic equipment, computers, and detectors
• Complete CT studies of the head, brain, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, musculoskeletal system, vascular structures, heart, and colon as ordered
• Prepare patients and imaging rooms for examinations, including appropriate isolation precautions and radiation safety practices
• Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with established protocols
• Prioritize and triage routine and emergent imaging requests in collaboration with the care team
• Support CT imaging needs across emergency, ICU, inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, and trauma services
• Perform quality assurance activities and assist with basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Resolve issues involving image processing and archiving systems while maintaining accurate documentation
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining clinical, technical, and professional standards
