CT Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,170–$2,330
• Location: Oregon City, Oregon
• Travel Healthcare Job: 13-week hospital imaging contract
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Assignment End Date: January 18, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift
• Shift: Evening shift, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Saturday and Sunday evening coverage required
• Scheduling: Block scheduling with two consecutive days off each week
• Call: Approximately 2–4 nights per month
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:1 on weekends and 1:2 on day/evening coverage, as applicable
• Charting: Electronic medical record experience required
• Patient Population: Adolescents, infants, adults, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Orientation: 40 hours

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of CT Technologist or CT Tech experience required
• Current ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology or an equivalent recognized credential
• Current BLS certification
• Valid Oregon license or compact license in hand, as applicable
• Hospital or short-term acute care imaging experience preferred
• Proficiency with at least one major CT or imaging platform, such as GE, Philips, Siemens, or Toshiba
• Experience with PACS and electronic medical record systems
• Competence performing CT exams of the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, cervical spine, lumbar spine, thoracic spine, and musculoskeletal system, with and without contrast
• Ability to prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and appropriate personal protective equipment
• Ability to work independently during lower-volume evening and overnight coverage while coordinating with available imaging support

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergent computed tomography examinations for a diverse inpatient and acute care patient population
• Support related radiology examinations during evening and overnight coverage as needed
• Review imaging orders, verify patient information, and ensure exams are performed according to established protocols
• Prepare patients for CT procedures, explain examinations, and promote comfort and safety throughout the imaging process
• Administer contrast media and initiate peripheral IV access according to established protocols
• Apply radiation safety principles and maintain compliance with department and regulatory standards
• Recognize image quality concerns, repeat images when appropriate, and transmit completed studies through PACS
• Document procedures and patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, radiologists, respiratory services, IV teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Respond to call coverage and assist with urgent imaging needs when scheduled
