Travel Radiology Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,740–$1,860
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract
• Location: Lubbock, Texas
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• End Date: January 25, 2027
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, approximately 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Healthcare Setting: Short-term acute care and Level II trauma environment
• Call: Not required
• Weekends: Not required
• Floating: May be required between imaging units or nearby affiliated locations

Radiologic Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent X-Ray Technologist or Radiologic Technologist experience
• Current ARRT certification
• Current BLS certification
• Texas radiologic technologist license in hand at the time of submission; compact license accepted when applicable
• Ability to independently perform routine and complex diagnostic X-ray examinations
• Experience assisting with fluoroscopy procedures
• Recent experience in a fast-paced acute care or trauma setting
• Strong patient care, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Experience with electronic charting systems and PACS
• Ability to perform imaging procedures for patients ranging from neonates and children to older adults

Travel X-Ray Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with established protocols and radiation safety standards
• Complete routine and complex studies, including chest, abdomen, spine, extremity, skull, and trauma imaging
• Assist with fluoroscopy and C-arm procedures as assigned
• Provide bedside and portable imaging services when needed
• Position and prepare patients appropriately while maintaining comfort, dignity, and safety
• Use radiation protection practices and follow isolation precautions and PPE requirements
• Review images for quality and collaborate with the care team to obtain clinically useful studies
• Document procedures accurately in the electronic charting system and maintain imaging records through PACS
• Support imaging needs across units while maintaining efficient workflow in a high-volume environment
